Omaña Elected Associate Director of ACM—General Conference

Breaking News: During a recent session of the General Conference Executive Committee, Dr. Ivan Omaña has been elected as the Associate Director of Adventist Chaplaincy Ministries at the General Conference of Seventh-day Adventists. He will assume his duties on November 1, 2021.

Omaña currently serves as an Assistant Director of Adventist Chaplaincy Ministries for the North American Division. He chairs the Adventist Chaplaincy Institute Board of Certification, is endorsed as a chaplain by Adventist Chaplaincy Ministries—North American Division. He’s also a Board Certified Pastoral Counselor by the American Association of Christian Counselors, a Board Certified Chaplain by the Association of Professional Chaplains, as well as the College of Pastoral Supervision and Psychotherapy and an Associate Clinical Pastoral Education Supervisor with College of Pastoral Supervision and Psychotherapy. He is an ordained Seventh-day Adventist Pastor since 1995

Previously, Omaña served as senior chaplain at Florida Hospital Kissimmee (2002-2015), and as a chaplain in Adventist Care Centers (2000-2002). During the 1990s, Omaña was as a pastor in the Central West Venezuelan Conference, where he also served as the official translator for every major evangelistic and ecclesiastical event.
